IRI JOINS ANNUAL RESOURCE RECOVERY EVENT

IRI, together with other Environmental Service Providers (ESPs), again joined this year's annual Resource Recovery Event (RRE) held last April 22-23, 2010 at the Carmel Ridge clubhouse, Carmelray Industrial Park 2, Calamba. The event, which is in line with this year’s "Earth Day" celebration, was co-organized by Eco-Industrial Exchange Network (EcoIndex) and the Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA).

This event offers PEZA locators and EcoIndex member parks the rare opportunity to dispose their wastes and other hazardous materials without worrying much about the documentation and tax duties from PEZA and the Bureau of Customs.

Aside from the environmental exhibit and the collection of recyclables/hazardous wastes, the RRE was highlighted by a seminar/symposium which focused on climate change and the effects of Green house gases and a "Fun Run", wherein dozens participated
