Reflections On Our Field Trip To The Integrated Recycling Industries Facility
Employee of the Quarter

ERNESTO SALGADO

As part of IRI’s unwavering advocacy of spreading awareness on how we can all do our share in fighting climate change, the company once again opened its doors to a group of World Wide Fund for Nature - Philippines (WWF-Philippines) volunteers last February 15, 2010. WWF-Philippines is a non-stock, non-profit global conservation organization whose primary mission is to help stop the degradation of the environment and ensuring the sustainable use of resources for our children to enjoy. Their visit to IRI was part of their training to help them be better equipped in teaching children proper ways of recycling and waste management.

In line with this, an educational presentation on E-scrap recycling and proper waste management was conducted by IRI’s General Manager, Mr. Lee Salvatore Echiverri. After the informative discussion, the group was toured around the company’s production area where they learned the actual recycling processes the company practices.

To end, Mr. Echiverri applauded the volunteers for their admirable desire to educate people, most especially the youth, on how we can all help save Mother Earth. He mentioned that together, we could still make a difference; not only for us to benefit, but for generations still to come.
