IRI FAMILY SHARES TO TYPHOON VICTIMS

In the spirit of “bayanihan”, IRI joined thousands in supporting victims of tropical storm “Ondoy” and “Pepeng” which swamped the Philippines recently. Both storm caused severe flashfloods and landslides in Metro Manila and Luzon provinces, leaving thousands of families homeless, a number of unwanted casualties, and billions worth of properties and agricultural products damaged. Sadly, the nightmare caused by “Ondoy” and “Pepeng” created a tolling aftermath to its traumatized victims.

In response to this, Team IRI worked as a family and prepared hundreds of relief bags filled with assorted goods, biscuits, instant noodles, distilled water and rice. The goods, which will be handed-out to displaced families in North Luzon, were later turned-over to “Gawad Kalinga” for distribution.

In addition, the company likewise made a separate check donation thru CIP II-PEZA for victims of “Ondoy” that pummeled the country a week prior “Pepeng”.

Even with these simple acts of generosity and kindness, the whole IRI family hopes to ease the suffering and sadness brought by the calamity. We at IRI join millions around the world in helping victims move on and rebuild not just their houses, but their lives as well.
