IRI takes part in "EARTH DAY" activities

In celebration of Earth Day 2008, Team IRI took part in worthwhile activities such as the San Juan River trekking and the CIP Fun Run ("Takbo Para sa San Juan") held at Carmelray Industrial Park (CIP) II, Calamba City last April 23 and 26, respectively. The activities, sponsored by the Carmelray Industrial Park Locator's Environmental Officer’s association (C.L.E.A.n), were held to promote community awareness and to raise funds to support the San Juan River enhancement program. These events were led by Mr. Joey Cariño, President of Industries for Clean Environment, and Mr. Willy Bayaras, President of C.L.E.A.n.

The program aims to develop an "Eco-trail" that would showcase the beauty and grandeur of the San Juan River that would eventually benefit not only CIP locators, but other visitors and nature-lovers as well. Team IRI shares this vision with C.L.E.A.n and hopes to gather enough resources for the said plan to materialize.

Once again, IRI re-affirms its commitment of conserving mother earth and invites everyone to be part of this noble vision.
