IRI Was Featured in GMA 7 Reporter's Notebook

IRI Philippines was featured on GMA 7's Reporter's Notebook which was aired on October 18, 2005. The segment entitled "Hi-Tech Basura" discussed disposal of high-tech garbage from other countries. It talked about hazardous materials from computer products. These electronic equipment contain hazardous chemicals and are too dangerous if disposed in landfills.

The show featured electronic scrap buyers and recyclers who have capabilities of treating and disposing electronic scrap materials in an environmentally-safe manner.

After the show was aired, several inquiries from various sectors were received about the capabilities of IRI.
