Philippine Misereor Philippines Inc. visits IRI

As part of IRI's commitment to spread environmental awareness and conservation, the company welcomed the Philippine Misereor Partnership Inc. (PMPI). PMPI is a partnership between non-governmental organizations, church groups and people's organization that helps the poor. One of their advocacies is to stop the mining industry in Philippines which destroys a lot of natural resources, and since IRI is one of the biggest recycling company in the Philippines, they visited IRI's facility to gain knowledge on how proper recycling can help our environment.

During the visit, IRI's General Manager, Mr. Lee Echiverri gave them a presentation regarding some facts and issues that we experience nowadays because of climate change and global warming. He also discussed the proper ways of recycling electronic scrap and its effect on our environment compared to the harmful effects of mining. After the presentation, the visitors were toured around the plant to witness the actual recycling process that IRI does.
