Reclaimtek (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, IRI’s affiliate in Penang, Malaysia, was invited to be one of the companies presenting in this year’s “Asian Electrical and Electronic Green Society International Conference” held last October 7-9, 2009 at the Impact Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi, Thailand.
Dato Eng Hoe Goh, Reclaimtek President and concurrent IRI President, personally attended this monumental event, which brings together people from all sectors and executives from organizations all over the world. Joining him was Lee Salvatore Echiverri, IRI Vice President/General Manager. Together, they gave a lecture on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Recycling Technology, specific to Malaysia. A number of other informative lectures and presentations were given in this 3-day event that was culminated by a visit to a model recycling facility in Phitsanulok province.
The conference did not only serve as a common venue for exchanging knowledge and experiences among government officials, researchers, business executives, recyclers, waste generators and other concerned groups that focuses on the electrical and electronics sector, but researches and models presented in the convention may later on be used as guides for policy formulations and recommendations.

Equally, they share the vision that by working together and with a common goal in mind, we can fight the adverse effects brought by climate change.
